Synopsis
The play is based on the suspicion that the amazing success and daring of Somali pirates hide a political mystery which cannot be easily explained away. In the late 19th century pirates similarly held sway in the region till British supremacy was established there by all the Great Powers signing of the Convention of Constantinople on October 29, 1888. The detective powers of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are invoked to solve that earlier mystery in the hope that that would explain the present one.
