Read my first two short TDL playlets this morning, after an expansive play-reading block. What riches! Felt good about absolutely everything for a bit.

The Drama Library is such a great resource for Indian plays. I train young adults for an international speech and drama exam and it was so nice to share Indian plays with them, rather than the staple Western texts. Western examiners and curators could also use the site to learn about new plays from India.

I just spent an hour going through the lovely website of The Drama Library. How long we've lamented the lack of any kind of organised space for contemporary Indian playwrights! And now there is one! Thank you, Bhasha Centre, for making this one-of-a-kind resource in the country

Thank you so much to TDL and the Bhasha Centre for making it possible for me to see the recording of the play Bollywood Bandwagon since the play is not actively being staged. Mallika was very good at keeping the conversation relaxed and informative and I look forward to more such fun evenings!

This Drama Library is an initiative, from within the sector, to create a space for depositing and accessing play scripts. It is as unique in this country, as it is encouraging. I wish this initiative the very best.

The Drama library is serving so many brilliant objectives: knitting the boundless theatre community into one powerful communion of knowledge, information and acceptance. I love this sense of belonging and the space it affords to grow together.”

Where do we access new plays? How do we engage with the ongoing tradition of playwriting? TDL bridges these gaps and brings the community closer in more than one way. A great digital space for both practitioners and enthusiasts!”

Hundreds of plays in tens of languages in one place, has suddenly changed the rules of the game. Practitioners, particularly from universities in Delhi, are actually reading more and making informed decisions about the plays they want to stage."
