Synopsis

Hari returns home to find his house turned into a hotel and his widowed sister-in-law Usha, who used to be his lover, managing it along with an old retainer. There are two residents, a nocturnal netizen and a drunken, non-paying writer. Hari finds the place is haunted. Many spooky happenings scare him, and a couple of them are possessed by the ghost of his brother, Deep. Deep informs him that he was murdered and Hari should find out who his killer was. Only then can Deep leave. Subsequent events, both hilarious and horrific, bring Hari and Usha closer, and reveal what really happened. It exposes the casual cruelty of Deep and the cause of his death. They all stand up against the ghost and literally push him away with their combined strength, setting free Midnight Hotel. The play has been published by Adisakrit as part of an anthology titled 'Midnight Hotel and Other Plays', available on Amazon.
