Synopsis

The play revolves around Mridul and Vaibhavi, who love each other but their destiny takes a turn as Mridul, who lives on rent, takes a room where the landlord puts the condition of not bringing any girl in the room. Mridul gets disappointed as he and Vaibhavi used to meet at his place, but ultimately he accepts the room with all the conditions. As Vaibhavi gets to know about it, she gets disheartened. As Mridul shifts into his new colony, he gets into a heated argument with Bhole Bhakt Mandal who asks for a hefty amount of money in the name of donation. Mridul tried to convince the landlord, but he strictly refused. Mridul decides to bring Vaibhavi secretly, but Bhole Bhakt Mandal busts their plan. Angry Mridul discovers that Landlord himself was involved in adultery along with local MLA and Bhole Bhakt Mandal. He records everything. Next day Vaibhavi decides to sue Mridul's landlord, but Mridul decides to wait to once again plan to call Vaibhavi secretly as Landlord was going out of the house with his family. But the landlord had some other plans. He asked Bhole Bhakt Mandal to keep an eye on Mridul and Vaibhavi. As Vaibhavi reaches to Mridul's room and both of them starts getting cosy, Bhole Bhakt Mandal reaches there and lynches them. Landlord too comes back and scolds them hard. Ultimately their parents reach and separate them. Though they both were innocent, they had to paid the price as they breached the norms of culture and religion. Mridul gets stunned, when the videos of their lynching goes viral. He calls Vaibhavi and meets her at midnight. Finally they both reach to a hill and decides to commit suicide. Play ends on a question as they take their first step to jump from the hill.
