Synopsis

Bina and Surekha are best friends from college. Meeting after many years, they end up stuck in a traffic jam. For Surekha, this is an everyday situation. She drives, swears and is not above scratching another car that refuses to give way or yelling at other drivers, but there’s more to her aggression than road-rage. A secret between the two friends dates back to college in Darjeeling. They were in an accident that resulted in the deaths of three young men. Bina seems to have forgotten or assuaged her guilt but has never driven a car since. Surekha suffers crippling anxiety. The two have been more or less estranged since and now there are additional sources of tension. Surekha, who still lives in the same housing complex as Bina’s father has begun to spend time with him, which makes Bina jealous. Bina’s father had high hopes from her: he wanted her to be a scientist and is disappointed in her now. Bina's marriage is also not as stable or happy as it appears. These tensions percolate the car even as they attempt to lighten the mood by tuning into the car radio. Matters take a dangerous when Surekha dents a bigger car on purpose. The driver comes after them and threatens them. Surekha pepper sprays him and leaves him exposed to oncoming traffic. It causes the can of worms to be opened wide, and leads to yet another accident that can never be talked about.
