Synopsis

This play goes on to depict Narad's vengeance as a result of the curse that was cast upon him by goddess Lakshmi. Infamous for his enticing diplomacy, Narad approaches the rakshas prince Kirit and convinces him to undergo penance and please Lord Shiva to be granted the boon inculcating himself as Bhasmasoor. Lord Shiva along with Lord Brahma and Vishnu had deflowered Narad, and thus the ploy. With all the requisite preparations and enthusiasm, the play was to open, when the director finds out some of the performers will not be available. Utterly distraught, he calls upon a group of people who are professional Tamasha artists, in proxy. What you see on stage is a virtual mismatch between the two very distinct genres of performances pouring in their best efforts to justify what ultimately reigns supreme: entertaining the audience.
