Synopsis
On the eve of a performance, Chhandabasu arrives at a crumbling theatre carrying with him centuries of forgotten hawker calls, seeking out Alom Bibi, a once-renowned Jatra artiste. He offers her a strange bargain: her voice can be preserved forever, made immortal, but only if she agrees to leave the stage for good. For an artist like Alom Bibi, whose very existence is bound to performance, being reduced to a memory of the past demands a sacrifice far deeper and more devastating than it first appears.
